Diagnostic of school maturity of children with impaired communication ability

This thesis deals with the issue of school readiness of children with speech difficulties in the preschool period. The theoretical part of the thesis describes in detail the areas of preschool child development, as well as communication of the preschool child, school maturity and readiness, and diagnosis of school maturity and readiness. In the practical part of the thesis, qualitative research is conducted using a diagnostic method to assess school maturity in children with impaired communication skills who are awaiting entry into primary school. Subsequently, individual speech and language therapy interventions are designed for those children who, based on the results of the assessment, are ready to enter primary school. The aim of the work is to contribute to a better understanding of the issue of school readiness of children with impaired communication skills and to provide practical tools to support the communication skills of these children in preparation for entry into primary school. The design of the speech therapy intervention serves as a complement to home practice before starting primary school. The diploma thesis with the title Home preparation of children with special educational needs in a children's home deals with institutional education, the development of a school-age child, special educational needs, especially specific learning disorders and impaired communication skills and the possibilities of supporting these children. The practical part focuses on the qualitative research carried out in children's homes in the form of interviews with educators and children. The aim of the thesis is to comprehensively describe the issue of home preparation of children with specific learning disabilities and children with impaired communication skills living in a children's home.
Development of individual language levels in preschool children

The diploma thesis deals with the development of language levels in children aged 5 to 6 years. These are children before starting primary school. At this age, the stage of preschool education and the development associated with it ends. The end of this period is specific in that children are preparing for the start of compulsory schooling. By the end of the preschool period, the child should achieve certain results in the development of language levels. The goal of the practically oriented part of the diploma thesis is to analyze the development of language levels in preschool children. The work is logically divided into two parts. The first of them introduces speech development, defines the pre-school period and delimits language levels on the basis of documents from the specialist literature. These are theoretical knowledge necessary to create a comprehensive picture of the investigated issue. Speech therapy in children's homes in Kralovehradecký region

The bachelor thesis is focused on the provision of speech therapy intervention in children's homes in the Královéhradecký region.The bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters, two theoretical and one empirical chapter. In the first chapter of the theoretical part, basic concepts such as speech therapy, communication, speech, language and impaired communication ability are explained. Next, the first chapter is devoted to the development of speech, language and communication within the planes and lastly, it describes children's homes and their functioning, the role of the educator and the child and the communication skills of children from children's homes. The second chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to speech therapy intervention, the definition of the term and its activities, its position within the health and education departments. The empirical part deals with two children's homes from the Královéhradecký region and their provision of speech therapy intervention. Speech therapy prevention for the natural development of pre-school children

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of (not) using the offer of speech therapy prevention by parents of children with impaired communication skills. The theoretical part defines basic concepts such as speech therapy, speech therapy, impaired communication ability, speech development (risks that may manifest in speech development) and articulation. It relies on available professional sources in the field of speech therapy. The practical part is carried out using the method of qualitative research and contains semi-structured interviews with parents. The main goal is to find out the answer to the research question: "How active is the interest on the part of parents and what is the main reason for parents to seek professional help?" Specifically, it is a research in a kindergarten in South Bohemia.
Motor skills in a preschool child with impaired communication ability

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is motor skills and graphomotor skills in a preschool child with impaired communication ability. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is the training and practice of gross motor skills, oromotor skills and graphomotor skills in preschool children with impaired communication skills aged five to six years who attend a speech therapy class established at a regular kindergarten. Another goal was to develop a methodological program. One of the partial goals was to observe and shoot a selected research sample during activities developing motor skills. The theoretical part deals with the topic of impaired communication skills in preschool children, the possibility of requesting a postponement of compulsory school attendance and also selected cognitive functions affecting motor activities. The main part of the theoretical work consists of the chapter on motor skills, which includes motor skills, gross motor skills and coordination of movement, graphomotor skills, oromotor skills and also fine motor skills. The content of the next part consists of laterality and speech therapy in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the method of observation was applied, mainly due to video recording and also the method of individual approach and interview. The methodical program for the development of motor skills contains methodical procedures of exercises, elements from the field of oromotor skills and graphomotor sheets. All these materials were applied for one month and evaluated according to selected or elected evaluation scales. The results are successful, as all children from the selected research sample improved in all stimulated areas.
Analysis of the issue dyslalia of preschool children from the perspective of parents

The bachelor thesis deals with the current problem of dyslalia in preschool children. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters, which contain a theoretical basis for the issues addressed. The first chapter defines communication, impaired communication ability and presents the field of speech therapy and speech therapist, as a key person who corrects the impaired communication ability. The practical part deals with the attitude of parents to the issue of dyslalia in preschool children. A questionnaire survey and a semi-structured interview were used for data collection. The research survey contains a sample of 178 respondents - parents and a related interview with a teacher in a mainstream kindergarten with more than 30 years of experience. The research survey shows that there is no connection between the level of knowledge and information and the level of education of the addressed parent, and no further connection was found in the additional analyzes. According to the results of the survey, but also according to experts, it depends primarily on the parent, his conscientiousness and responsibility.

The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis describes the topic of children with specific learning needs, developmental disabilities and intellectual disabilities with focus on preschool age of children, their inclusion into the nursery school and possibilities of support and development in the nursery school environment. The practical part deals with a case study of a child with developmental disability at a nursery school, especially identifying his/her specific learning needs and ways to fulfill them in a nursery school. The information is gathered through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with a mother of the child, the pedagogical staff and a special needs assistant.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of Development of a child with special educational needs of preschool age. The content of the thesis is focused on children in ordinary kindergartens and kindergartens established under § 16 paragraph 9, especially in speech therapy classes. The bachelor thesis is divided into four chapters. The introductory theoretical part of the thesis focuses on a specific child of preschool age. The second chapter deals with the developmental peculiarities of a child with impaired communication skills. Describes selected disorders of children's speech, including their possibilities of diagnosis and therapy. Another important part of the qualification work is the description of work in a regular kindergarten and in the speech therapy class of a kindergarten. In the empirical part, the last chapter, methods of quantitative research are performed. The main task with the help of a questionnaire survey is the view of pedagogical staff who use the comprehensive diagnostic, compensatory and educational aid Kangaroo's suitcase.
